Introduction to EN 1090
EN1090 is the standard for steel structures under the building materials code CPR in the CE certification. The EU stipulates that after 01/07/2014, all steel structures entering the EU market must obtain the EN1090 certificate before being allowed to sell in the EU market.
EN1090 certification is the audit of steel structure enterprise system. It mainly assesses the quality control ability of enterprises. It mainly includes: welding personnel qualification, material certificate, quality control document, welding system establishment, and product inspection.
The main points to be certified are as follows:
A. Establish the factory production control system FPC; Refer to EN 1090-1, 6.3, P19;
B. Select execution level EX1~4; Refer to EN 1090-2, A.3, P 107;
C. Material certificate verification; Refer to EN 1090-2, 5, P25,
D. Establish welding system; Refer to EN 1090-1, Table B.1, P26;
E. Determination of product performance parameters; Refer to EN 1090-1, ZA. 1, P30;
F. Sign the declaration of conformity and use the CE label.

Part 1: Requirements for conformity assessment of structural components
Part 2: Technical requirements for steel structures
Part 3: Technical requirements for aluminum structure
