Fracture morphology analysis

Fracture occurs when partial fracture developing to critical crack size, and the residual interface is unable to bear external load. The direction of crack in metal materials is always follows the path of least resistance, so the fracture is the area that most commonly weak or largest area of stress. Fracture morphology records the cause, extension and fracture of crack, so it is not only the basis for researching the micro mechanism of the fracture process, is also a reliable basis for the analysis of causes of the fracture.
